Well gawrsh, if it ain't a jackpot tonight, ranging from new folky goodness from Iron & Wine and Machine Translations to new dubsteppiness from The Bug... There's electronic goodness from Funckarma (with their second album of remixes, refurbished two), ollo (with their iTunes-only C-Sides album of out-takes), and a sneak peek of Part Timer vs Aaron Martin... Then there's Patrick Watson's album, finally out here, and Telephone Jim Jesus' new one on Anticon (which I haven't had a good listen to yet! So more next week for sure - not to mention all this other stuff...) Then there's some great compilations, including the latest Little Darla Has A Treat For You, plus more from hellosQuare's Asleep on Trains compilation too. And also I managed to get in about 23 minutes of the excellent new Necks album. Iron & Wine - Lovesong of the Buzzard [Sub Pop]

email: utilityfog at frogworth dot com bsky Mastodon Utility Fog teeters on the cusp between acoustic and electronic, organic and digital. Constantly changing and rearranging, this aural cloud of nanotech consumes genres and spits them out in new forms. Whether cataloguing the jungle resurgence, tracking the ups and downs of noise and drone, or unearthing the remnants of glitch and folktronica, all is contextualised within artist & genre histories for a fulfilling sonic journey. Since all these genre names are already pretty ridiculous, we thought we'd coin a new one. So "postfolkrocktronica" it is. Wear it. Now available: free "Live on Utility Fog" downloads!
